Gibson Limited Edition Joe Bonamassa Les Paul - $10,000 on sale for $6,000
Gibson Limited Edition Joe Bonamassa Les Paul
What in the world could Gibson do to a Les Paul to make it worth $10,000, maybe the tomato soup paint job who in the world would want a tomato soup guitar much less pay $10,000 for it? And to make it more interesting you have to install your own pickguard.

I challenge anyone to provide some kind of rational explanation or justification for this tomato soup guitar.

Coming soon I bet will be the split pea soup SG for $15,000.

You obviously have never had good tomato soup and six grand to blow. LOL

After checking it out - it's finish is the color of tomato soup....it's not like a Campbell's logo or something.

I like it. That's the only rationalization needed.

The freaking knobs don't even match for $10,000 I would expect matching knobs. What do you guys think shouldn't knobs match or at least be close to matching.

Re: finally has happened Gibson has lost it's minds! $10,000 tomato soup Les Paul

Joe B's are usually/generally mismatched,I believe...

& yeah,Gibson's been outta their gourds for a while-ish...

Fender not to be outdone by tomato soup has come out with their new whateverlogo-vert.jpg

Oh. I'd been expecting a kind of Andy Warhol connection.

About 10 years ago, they had this awesome-looking custom shop L5 for $10,000.00. I bought the Ibanez AF75 for $300 instead. It looked the same.

The total sum of all my guitars is less than $10K, but that's a nice looking guitar.

The funny thing is, to me the most impressive thing about Joe is his gear. Tone second, playing third and songs last.

materials and labor- $750
Joe B connection- 250
Gibson logo- $8000

Yeah, Joe does mismatched knobs so he can tell diff on the fly

errr, me thinks he may deserve a little more on tone that hes is being given credit for and more criticism for his ridiculous endorsements.
No mismatched knobs on this guitar.

Joe Bonamassa prefers the mismatched knobs. They allow him to change sounds on the fly without having to look down.

Furthermore that finish is actually pretty good looking and the flaming on the maple is stunning. I don't know that I would pay 10k for it, but I could see myself spending a pretty penny on it.

Why are you complaining? Even a 1000 dollar Gibson/ Fender/ any brand doesn't make economic sense. Ever heard of someone building a guitar with brand-name parts for less than a thousand?

First off I'm not complaining you mistake flabbergasted. Easy to find Les Paul studios going for between 500 and 600 I'll bet nobody here could honestly claim to build an equivalent guitar for less (remember the Nitro paint job, maple cap). You on the other hand could probably build on of those sining cowboy telecasters without much difficulty why not give it a try and show us you craftsmanship.

It's a gorgeous guitar, but never in a million years would I pay 10 G's for it.

And I love JB's playing, and his songs......especially off the last album.

Never heard of him till I kept seeing him in SD's site in almost every home page hit.
