Finally! I found the white Epi Custom...about time...

Re: Finally! I found the white Epi Custom...about time...

Looks pretty nice! So that Epi wood thread didn't scare you off?

Nice!
I've been considering getting one of those someday (no matter what the woods are, as long as it sounds good).

Maybe you can answer a question for me. Is the neck rounded or a slim-taper?

Id say it more slim than round, I hate round necks, but Im not a fan of ibanez paper necks either. This one feels good...its actually exactly like my gibson studio.

Ooh pretty! There are some pretty good Epi's out there, you just have to look hard for them.

A kid at my school got that guitar, but a Gibson not an Epiphone. He's been playing for less than a year and has already spent 3-5 thousand on gear, or his parents have.

That’s the thing, all of these woods people are talking about Epiphone using are tone woods. Well I don’t know about Agathis. I don’t anything at all about Agathis. But Maple, Alder, and Basswood are all commonly used in guitar construction. So just because these guitars aren’t made of Mahogany doesn’t mean they won’t sound good.

But Gibson/Epi shouldn’t be saying Mahogany when they mean something else. I wouldn’t be afraid to buy an Epi LP, I’m just not sure I want to give them the business.

Thanks for the info. Sounds just like what I like.

I knew some guys like that in school. They had great equipment, but couldn't play worth a damn. What a waste! If it makes you feel any better, he probably got ripped off buying a Gibson LP Custom. They want a lot of money for those things. Now if it was a PRS, that might be different.

very nice looking guitar, how old is it? i hear the customs at least used to be made of nice wood and sound very good. I hope it sounds as good as it looks, and the 59's should help that.
