Finally, I've found my sound and it's Bogner!!!

Re: Finally, I've found my sound and it's Bogner!!!

Damn Chris good deal man!

Thats a beaut!

i love the Bogner clips and would love to get one but they cost a **** load!

Actually someone here is selling a Ubershall for like 2200 euros which is probably pretty cheap, but that will be how much i will pay for my Deliverance and cab. Plus i think the Ubershall would be too 'Nuclear' for me since i am more of a Van Halen/PLexi and a bit more gain man myself.

have fun with that gorgeous peice of gear!!!
Dont we have a fun hobby man????!!

Chris: Is that a Landgraff Dynamic OVerdrive in the pics? I was planning on building a clone of one of those... after I'm done we'll have to A/B the two of them.

Awesome score.

I believe that's a Clay Jones OD.

FretFire: you win the gold star of the day; right on, it's a Clay Jones! :)
tone?: I think you'll find that your VHT Deliverance will be a fine, fine amp (I've heard nothing, but rave reviews and given VHT's reputation, I'm sure it kills) :fing2: There simply isn't a finer hobby ;)
joelap: if you're looking for a cool pedal to build that comes close to the famed Landgraff Overdrive, I've heard the GGG Standard Overdrive comes extremely close to it!

Thanks for the kind words guys :D I promise I will work on some clips of the amp. Can't wait to rock this thing with band practice this Friday and Sunday!

So far I'm floored with this thing. Here's a few honest observations:

For blues and jazz guys, you might want to look elsewhere. The cleans are a bit more compressed than your typical Fender and it's not quite as "bouncy". If you want a really open sounding clean channel, you will be disappointed. It also seems to me like it's a bit finicky with overdrive pedals, but I haven't spent enough time to really make any big judgement call on it yet.

For pop and rock styles, this amp is virtually perfect in my eyes. Those that want a killer, driving rock tone (thick, punchy and chewy) and searing lead tones will be in heaven. The clean channel has a cool voicing that is beefy while having a bit of that "shimmer" on the highend. The single note lines I do in some of my bands stuff is really going to work well with this.

For metal/hardcore guys, the Shiva can get pretty high gain, but for really crushing overdrive, I think the Uberschall is probably the way to go. For modern rock styles, the Shiva works great, but it depends on how extreme you need to go (stuff like Priest or Maiden can be done with ease on the Shiva, stuff like Darkest Hour needs something higher gain).

Sounds like it might be a good progressive/fusion amp too...
