This is a really pointless post. I finally have the sound I want after more than a few thousand dollars. All it took was raising the action at the nut and putting a bridge JB Jr. in the middle of my strat instead of a neck one. Good lord, it sounds great. Finally have the sound I want. It's amazing how just a bridge instead of neck pickup can make something sound so much better. Just small things like that. Sometimes being a perfectionist and knowing exactly what I want is a pain.

Nope. Just raised the graphite nut by putting a small bit of glue or something beneath it to raise it so it didn't mute the strings. High Action is supposed to sound best anyway.
