you're forgetting Mikael Akerfeldt. That man is God.
Indeed, nice catch.

SS is so awesome! Awesome screams and great cleans, IMO.
I love his
unclean vocals -- top notch agression, and personality for days (there's no mistaking him for anyone else) -- but wouldn't exactly look forward to him sitting in for a duet on "To Rid The Disease", y'know?
Swano, Alvestam, Akerfeldt... these guys could easily get work as purely clean singers. Speed, not so much. His cleans with Soilwork are fine for the context they're in, but I certainly wouldn't build a band/album around them. Even Disarmonia (which I prefer to recent Soilwork) uses other singers for that.

I wouldn't mind just one dude live - I've done and can do backup growls, so that's not a real issue...
You know who surprised me as a live backup vocalist? Adam D. When he isn't busy running all over the stage, dude pulls off pretty decent cleans, high screams, and low growls.

Been waiting for the new Disarmonia Mundi for a bit now, but Speed isn't going to be on it, I guess.
Last I heard he is. Unless something major happened in the last couple months...

"Right now I'm down in Italy to record the second Disarmonia Mundi album. I've just finished the vocals and will return home to Sweden tomorrow. I've got a lot of positive response about the first Mundi album and I can assure you that the second one will not make you disappointed.."

""I'm in Studio Fredman right now, mixing the new Disarmonia Mundi album. Things are going good but hectic as usual. Hopefully everything goes well and the album can be released sometime in April/May."
