Yes , think about alnico8 tone like ceramic without harsh treebles and grit ( the grit or bizz ) ; even EQ , neat and round attack .
The Demon8 is much fuller and feels darker , broad midrange added .
I have a regular Demon tb12 ( i was already very please with it ) and an sh12-alnico8 in the bridge of two of same guitars , and for now i prefer the Demon8 .
I can play with Demon8 classical shred things like Paganini that i never played with tb12 ( played it with Jazz neck ) ; truly sweet , and what a punch .

Nice I kind of gave up on the Demon as a bridge pickup. I will try the AL8 in a TB Demon!

Yes i like the Demon a lot , best Duncan i tried , but with al8 it is even better

Well despite the fact that al8 take away some highs , i feel that it has more harmonics and i remember Wicked Lester saying that the Custom8 had a violin like sound in the upper register , it is those harmonics who are flying above waiting to be pinched .
