I am thinking of loading my Fender Stratocaster with seymour duncan JB's and i wanted to know what kind of sound i can get out of the pickups what exactly are they capable of? Can i play metal with them..Will they have nice cleans?? are they good for soloing...these questions may seem dumb but i would really appreciate the help... also what pickup would be a good combination in the neck..thanks

JB's are more than capable of doing metal. Great harmonics. Very respectible cleans. If you want a single coil pup for the neck, a Little '59 would work nicely.

along with changing the bridge to a humbucker i am going to be putting one in the neck so a regular 59?

If your going to go with a full size humbucker in the neck, I'd say a Jazz or a '59. Remember, your going to need a Trembucker spaced pup in the bridge, so if your going to go with a JB, you'll want a TB-4
