M macatt New member Feb 29, 2016 #21 Re: Fitting a Strat Neck in a Tight Pocket. When you do widen the pocket, use a cabinet scraper. It's easier than a sanding block and shaves off a very thin even amount of wood with each pass. Easier to get into the corners too.
