What kind of guitar is it? How bad are the cracks? These are two questions that will be critical. If it were a LP it would be worth the investment. My good friend Cris Mirabella does this type of work. It is not a cheap repair, but when he is done with it you would never know there was ever a crack there. It would be helpful to have photos to determine how much work it would take to fix it. Here is a guide line on what needs to be done.
1. All the cracks need to be sanded and prepared for adhesive.
2. A good quality epoxy needs to be forced into all the cracks and all excess needs to be cleaned off. This needs to be done before the epoxy sets up.
3. The cracks will now need to be clamped and set aside to dry. What type of clamps to use would depend on the area being repaired and what can be gripped by the clamps. I hace seen "C" clamps, bar clamps and belt clamps all used succesfully.
4. Once the adhesive has completley dried the clamps can be removed and all areas can now be prepared to be painted or stained. If this id done properly you can hide the cracks pretty well. If you would like to have this done contact Mirabella Guitars at: www.mirabellaguitars.com

I wish I had taken pics of my guitar when the neck broke up near the headstock. it was REAL NASTY; it literally broke off and was in a 90 degree angle... it was only held together by the fretboard... barely.
Anyhow, i got it fixed for $250 canadian at Songbird music in Toronto, where I'm from.. I am real glad I did, too. I want to be barried with that guitar and love it more now with it's battle scars.
Do the job if you find a luthier that will guarantee the job can be done right. It might get more rpicey though,.... depends on the lutheir and his expertese.. long live the Les Paul
