Floyd FRT 1000

How are these compared to an Original FLoyd? I think Ive read where the quality is better than most of the lower model floyds. Correct?
The pretty much the same in layout and setup? (sorry if the questions seem elementary, but Ive seen MANY floyd versions in my years..)

fine tuner range and feel is a little less and rougher. It's not a bad bridge though. I think those are the main things I've noticed.

The baseplate is still made from hardened steel, just like the original floyds. Lots of companies are using those bridges on their medium - high end gear. The $3000 EVH wolfgangs use them. Its the same trem, just with the EVH logo printed on it

Yeah, I did notice that. Guess the hardened steel plate is one of the most important things, so the knife edges dont get all messed up.
