Floyd guru's I have a question

It may have been typed up before, but I can't find it, and the various forums that come up under google leave a lot of vagueness to the topic.

Question/Topic:

I am going to build a Jackson warrior as a project.... and I want a Floyd. (just bought the neck here from Alvin...)

Anyhow.... given that the body will most likely already have the studs in it....

1. Can I use an OFR or do I have to use a licensed copy?

caveat: I have always disliked the Jackson models of LFR's, they flat suck! I like Dean copies better, and the BC Rich one's even a bit better than that....
The Floyd specials are ok, but I'd like an OFR if I can be sure it will mount up and line up with a "Jackson Warrior Body that's already been routed and studs installed."
example here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/371158963573?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

2. Can I use any old Floyd style nut off ebay, or does that matter as well?

Thanks so much, you guys always have the answer

OFR will fit, it will be close to rubbing or will very slightly rub on the lower (arm) side and the string lock bolts may be too long for the cavity, but that's not been my experience. It won't fill the cavity on the upper side either, might look funny to you. The JT580 is symmetrical, Floyd Rose trems aren't. Chances are it will work fine with minimal to no modification necessary.

As for the lock nut, what you need is a BH43 nut, but I've recently discovered there are different versions with the mounting screws in slightly different locations, the newer nuts are different, but still labeled BH43. I'm not sure if you can tell the difference from a picture. The Floyd Rose R4/2 nut fits on the older style too, but a regular R3 is way too tall for the shelf, unless you want to do some significant filing of the nut seat.

Here's a page someone set up about Jackson trems and swaps: http://audiozone.dk/index-filer/TremoloInfoProject.htm
