Floyd/kahler on a neck thru mahog w maple cap vs. bolt-on basswood w floyd

I am currently GASing for to place a custom order for an Agile LP style custom-order guitar where the specs would be neck-through design, 2" mahogany body plus 3/4" maple cap, and either a Kahler or OFR "Special" Floyd bridge. I gotta have some type of tremolo-capable bridge based on my playiblng style/needs.

I am already satisfied tone-wise/playability-wise with my bolt-on, LFR Floyd-equipped, basswood body Ibanez RG, so I feel the need to justify this new custom-order Agile purchase on *some* measurable basis of it out-performing my current Ibanez RG in some respect, like more sustain due to the LP shape having more body wood mass than the strat-like Ibanez basswood body shape. Etc. Etc.

Let me know: do I gain anything tone-wise/sustain-wise at the end of the day if both are Kahler or floyd equipped?
*EDIT* I also plan to specify that this Agile custom order be double-cut body style vs. single cut (and w body contour cut).

if you're looking for sustain, I would suggest a stop tail, and later add on a Kahler stop-tail trem if you need wobblies.

I know where you're at with the Agiles. I've g.a.s.ed for a tobaccoburst or birdseye neckthru wide from them, and then swap out the pups for something nice and vintagey from SD. The headstock is the killer for me though. I don't like the shape or the font used in the logo, and I wouldn't be up for altering the headstock.

I also just got a double humbucking guitar with a mahogany body and a set neck, so I have to turn that g.a.s. off until I do something crazy like start a band.
