Floyd & Neck Radius

i was reading on the warmoth site about fingerboard radius and the OFR tremolo, it said that an ideal radius at the nut would be 10'' for the locking nut but it works up to 12'', im curious what the deal is with jackson and their 16'' radius fingerboards also. is that the reason ibanez uses 12'' ( balance between flat, and compatibility of the locking nut ) how well does the OFR work with a radius of 16'' ?

Re: Floyd & Neck Radius

The shelf the locking nut sits on is flat/level, sometimes folks just shim the saddles. As for my Jackson/Charvels, it usually washes out once the intonation is set and I don't think/worry about it.
As my friends always tell me, "Shut up and play", "Don't sweat the small stuff", "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", etc.,

Re: Floyd & Neck Radius

I've had a ton of guitars with Floyds, many with a different radius. I've NEVER noticed any ill effects from it.
