Floyd Rose 1000 series replacement

I thought about changing the korean made floyd rose 1000 series tremolo with a Gotoh floyd rose but I'm not sure if it will fit. It's a recessed tremolo. So, are they interchangeable or are the dimensions different? Can I use the Gotoh studs to replace the floyd rose ones?

Not a worthwile endeavor. Make sure your 1000 series Floyd is well maintained and it will do its job just fine.

It will fit fine. You might have to replace the block on the Gotoh, they come stock with 40mm blocks. Use the FR posts and anchors, drilling and mounting the larger Gotoh parts is not only a pain, but there may not be enough wood in the area to accommodate them.

What vinta9e said is the best advice though.

Its not worth it, the 1000 is basically identical to the original... so long as its maintained it will basically perform like a original fr
