Hi how do you know when the fine tuners on a floyd rose are at their middle position. I was wondering because I am having trouble making my floyd parallel with the body. Thanks

The fine tuners should have no effect on being able to flush-mount the bridge itself. Even when they're tightened all the way down, the metal springy-thing underneath them will not touch the body.

Yea I am having trouble making my floyd flush mount. No matter how much I tighten the spring claw the floyd still leans towards the nut.

If you are using heavier strings, that would cause it. Either that or your springs are really screwed.

I am using 9 gauge strings and three tremolo springs.

Really, even if you're using 11s or 12s I don't think that should happen. How many springs are back there under the cavity?

Important question: is the back end of the floyd already touching the body or is it still floating? If the back is already resting on teh body, I can explain your issue to you but not solve it... I can however assist you in your quest..
Most instruments with a flush mount Floyy have either a: a minischule recess for the fine tuner leaf spring, or b (significantly more common) a slightly back angled neck.
The problem is that that leaf spring will never be flush with the bottom of the plate at the rear, unless you remove the string locking screws. This unfortunately defeats the entire purpose of having a floyd on there in the first place.
The best solution available is to shim the neck back slightly (i.e. the tongue rises towards the bridge), and to raise the posts far enough up that the floyd sits parallel ( likely only about 2-3 turns). Unfortunately, setting teh action by setting the bridge then shimming the neck angle to match is a bit of a crapshoot... But it is possible

The fine tuning leaf springs are not even close to touching the body. Also my guitar has a bolt on neck.

yeah a side angle pic (and any others) would certainly help convey the problem.
do you have the pivot posts way too low causing the trem to bind and not be able to tilt back perhaps? it's real hard to know what the problem is without being able to see it.
if you can snap a few pics odds are it will help.

I'm guessing your trem claw is spaced very far away from the front of the trem cavity wall. You need to tighten the screws so the trem claw is closer to the front of the cavity.
It's just a balancing act. The string pull has to equal the pull from the springs.
Also, if the trem is flush mount, you will want to check and see if it CAN sit flat on the body when you get the string vs. spring tension corrected. Not all bridges are made to be flush mounted. If that's the case, you can do a slight route underneath to create a "pocket" for the fine-tuner springs to sit in.
