I got to play around with it at NAMM a bit. It feels a lot easier to bend the strings down, and still has the crazy range. I think it's because you aren't fighting the claw springs that are in the back of traditional whammy bridges. As for added functionality, it does come with a little thumbwheel that lets you lock the bridge flush with the body in case you don't want to pull the bar up and go EVH style. I believe Mr. Rose said it is compatible with the D-tuner too because of that little feature. Floyd himself said he prefers this design to his original one, but I dunno if that's just pushing a product or his actual stance on it. Seemed really cool though.
