Floyd Rose II Dimensions diagram?

I have a brand new MIM Charvel So-Cal with Floyd Rose Special however the string separation is bit wider compared to my good old Richie Sambora Mex Std Stratocaster that has a Floyd Rose II bridge and I want to make the string separation of my Charvel the same as my Strat. So I need your guidance on this, I am not a luthier, just an amateur player. This is what I have been thinking of

- The easy way: String spacing at nut. I will take off the strat nut and get the model, I hope its gonna be listed in this document by Floyd Rose. That way I can buy a new one for the Charvel that has the string pacing from my strat http://511e2271871424c2f15c-3b98a00d4daf07766c9421b476b3ba14.r8.cf2.rackcdn.com/FRNUTCONVERSIONCHART2013.pdf

- The hard way: String spacing at bridge. If chaning the nut is not enough then I may want to evaluate changing the bridge. My Charvel has a Floyd Rose Special that according to documentation has the same dimensions as the Original so I got this document with specific mesurements and string spacing. http://511e2271871424c2f15c-3b98a00d4daf07766c9421b476b3ba14.r8.cf2.rackcdn.com/OFRDimensions.pdf

However I am not able to find a similar document for the old Floyd Rose II bridge and I don't have the proper tool in hand to mesure the string separation accuratly.

Anyone here has a similar document for the Floyd Rose II? At this point I am not sure if string separation is different or not in the Floyd Rose II vs Floyd Rose Special/Original.

Thank in advance for your kind help.

If you go to the FR site, you can contact them directly. Best to get the info from the horses mouth, just to be sure.

Re: Floyd Rose II Dimensions diagram?

Thanks darth, I called them and the guy on the phone told me it was actually made by Fender. He provided string separation from FR II and FRO but honestly he provided different string separation for the FRO as it is published in their website so I am not sure if I really talked with the right person. So I decided to get this device called "Bernier" (that is how I know it) and I was surprised to measure the same string separation at nute, 12th fret and bridge on both guitars so I was like "why do I feel things different in both necks" and I just realized it is not because of the string separation but the actual fretboard width, you see the Charvel fretboard is a bit wider so when my hand touches the lower side of the fretboard then my finger tips need to stretch a little bit to reach the higher strings giving me the impresion that strings are more separated.

Bummer that FR wasn't much help.

Since when is OFR FRO?

Fwiw, I thought the FR2 was the same as the Schaller version with the short, fat screws?

If I were you I would be happy with it rather than going through all the hassles. Does the string spacing make a big difference?

On low frets not really since I tend to put my thumb on the back of the neck where the rosewood strip is so I don't touch the lower side of the fretboard but when playing higher frets I just have to change my hand position and that is where I feel the difference. I think I just need to practice for a while playing only with the Charvel to get used to it but honestly I have been playing with my strat for 16 years and ono other guitar so I really need to make the transtion.
