Got a new job in field service and they sent me a whole pile of new tools and test equipment, in addition to the personal stuff I already had. Got to thinkin' last night, there's no way I need three Fluke meters in the house (not to mention the Fluke 'scope).
So, here we have for sale my Fluke Model 177 digital multimeter. In my book, the 177 hits the sweet spot - it has all the features most people will need for working on amps, speakers, pedal, and cables, without getting into feature overkill that makes it really expensive. However, it's a big step up from the cheapo Chinese meters. It has the same Fluke build quality as their high-end stuff, and will probably last forever. If it does break down, you can actually get it serviced and calibrated, unlike the cheapos that you just throw in the trash.
I bought this one a few years ago to keep at home when my older 87 was at the office. The 177 has seen very little use, and has never been in a factory or in the field. I've just used it for checking out pedal builds, mostly. Clean, accurate and reliable. Includes a set of Fluke probes.
