Footswitch amp-channel-selector modification need

I need to alter my footswitch. I have a Roland Cube 30, which should use a FS-5U (unlatch type). The guy at the store didn't have any (I'd need two, one for channel job other for toggling fx) They were very expensive so he threw in a free generic footswitch. It only changes every second tap though. I opened it up and it has a 6 terminal switch, of which 2 are empty. Does anyone know where i can get a re-wiring diagram.

The unit i have is a two button type, that uses a stereo jack system. One cable seems to be the "hot", the other for channel and the last for FX. When the circuit gets closed for a tiny moment, the toggle happens.

Anyway, when i type a google search, all i get is vendors trying to sell product. Anyone know of a amp-geek site or such.

thanks in advance

Re: Footswitch amp-channel-selector modification need

i have the same problem with a generic footswitch
but when i use my friends behringer dual footswitch it works normally i.e (one press for changing from clean to dirty)

any way i opened the behringer footswitch up only to find it does not have the 6 terminal switches but some thing that resembles a bread board (similar to motherboard of a pc) with wires and the switches attached
