for floyd lovers

Re: for floyd lovers

Nope. Not at all. You get used to it like everything else dude. Just expect it to take you a while to master the art :D

Re: for floyd lovers

It takes more time than with a simple hardtail guitar with locking tuners, but it doesnt take THAT much longer when you get used to it.

Re: for floyd lovers

Nah. It's fine. If that's what you want, don't let changing strings stop you from getting a guitar with one. It's really not that big a deal.

Re: for floyd lovers

Nope. Just block the back and change one string at a time. I recommend putting the "ball" end through the tuning pegs and clipping the sharp end and sticking those in the saddles. It looks cool and will keep you from poking the ends of your fingers.

Re: for floyd lovers

ur 13 and ur really tryin to get one of those?! the RR5.. maybe its the RR1, whichever is the better, lol i forget, is my freakin dream guitar! snow white with black pinstripes... gold hardware... hmm... well what all can u play? i mean, those r some serious guitars

Re: for floyd lovers

You got BALLS, kid!

Like anything, the first time will be iffy, but in time it will become effortless.

TFB, the RR-1 is MIA and is definetely the superior model. :)

Re: for floyd lovers

yep. hear those other guys... they are right, and let me tell you that all first times are not what you expect off... so you have to be and have many patience, then you´ll enjoy doing the dive bombs and pull ups...

Re: for floyd lovers

I have 1 OFR, 2 Ibanez Edge, 1 Schaller, 1 copy of a Schaller and a Kahler...

The first few times can be tough. I've mastered it. It took some time tho...

It gets easier.

Don't let trouble with string changing stop you from getting the guitar you want....

Re: for floyd lovers

Yeah, changing strings on a Floyd is a breeze once you get used to them. It may take a few sets of strings to get the hang of it. Whatever you do, do not buy a guitar with a crappy cheap Floyd. :firing: I made the mistake of buying an Ibanez RG with a Lo-trans II. One of my worst mistakes while buying guitars. Once you begin using a Floyd Rose , though, you may never go back to using any other trems again. They're addicting and quite fun.

Re: for floyd lovers

No problem here so far. I took the FR out of my Ibanez, cleaned all the stuff and sticked it back and it´s still working. Changing strings is possible :) I was afraid too because many people said "Uh..you have to look out..don´t do this and that"..but it´s not bad.

Re: for floyd lovers

These guys are right on. I was a little intimidated the first time I changed the strings on mine, but when I got done I was really surprised. I had no trouble at all. It may take a minute or two longer, but it's not that bad. Floyd Rose has some pretty detailed instructions on their site, too.
