I was corresponding with Bill when he first came up with the reverb fix, and I think that it is probably the best solution to that knotty problem. Likewise the quick shielding fix. Those are real problems that Fender never should have caused in the first place and neglected to cure for far too long. Grrr!

The other mods are less universally loved -- some people like the sound better before the tone stack thing, and there are disputes (valid? I dunno) about the bias mods/settings. Blah, blah. People argue about anything, though.

Strangely, I never did any of these fixes. I wound up putting my mint blonde greenboard (read: DEFECTIVE) Blues Jr. in storage in my studio someplace.

Joe, Your Blues Jr has the Bill M mods...how is the clean on yours now?

Its got a very muscular clean tone...I wish it had a little more treble.
