For Sale: Warmoth Strat neck and body

Tone Cat
Hey guys, I have a Warmoth neck and body I'm selling. I've been working on a project guitar, and I changed my mind on some of the specs. The body is an olympic white alder Strat body, routed for three single coils and an American Standard two post trem. It has a set of Schaller strap locks already installed, and it's been fully shielded with copper foil.

The neck is goncalo with an ebony fretboard, 1 11/16 nut width, SRV back shape, CBS-style headstock routed for Schaller tuners, jumbo stainless steel frets, 10-16" compound radius, double expanding truss rod with side adjustment nut, and it has an Earvana nut installed. If you're not familiar with goncalo, it's tonally similar to maple, with just a tad bit more warmth. It's a very stable wood, and can be played without a finish without the risk of warping. It's definitely the fastest neck I've ever played.

Both parts have only a few hours of playing time on them. I wanted something that would be a little warmer than a typical Strat, and I was originally under the impression that goncalo was a warmer sounding wood. Turns out it's not. It would be a great neck if you want a different look and feel, but a more traditional Strat tone. I talked to Tommy at USA Custom Guitars, he told me that goncalo is brighter than what I was probably looking for, so I'm getting a wenge neck instead. As for the body, I've decided I'd rather have a six screw vintage trem, a heel contour, and maybe a different type of wood. This has been my first Strat, so I've learned quite a bit about what I like and don't like in these guitars.

With Warmoth's recent price increases, the neck would be over $300 without the nut installed. I'm asking $220 shipped, or I'll include a new set of Schaller locking tuners for $270.

For the body, I'm looking to get $180 shipped.

I also have an LR Baggs X-bridge piezo pickup system that goes with the body. It's a very high quality bridge, and all the piezo wires are totally hidden. Very realistic acoustic tones. I'm asking $80 shipped for that.

If you think you'd be interested in any of this stuff, let me know and I'll get you some pictures and more details. Thanks.

Ryan

Re: For Sale: Warmoth Strat neck and body

hey chief, wouldn't be willing to accept a trade for a Presonus Acousti-Q tube preamp for the body would ya? I would really like the bridge+body, but with a mini-vacation to New Orleans with my girlfriend planned for next month, plus a little cash I gotta swing by Mr. Spina, I don't have cash for either of these....but if you're not looking for trades, it's cool

Thanks, but I'm not really looking for any trades.
