Found a Peavey VTX classic in the Garbage!

My buddy called me up last night and said someone on his block had a
bunch of music equipment out for trash? Got a peavey 6 channel mixer
and 2 peavey 2x12 combo's!! One was missing the chassie, But had
peavey speakers in it. ( My guess? It was a deuce) the 2nd was a
VTX classic w/t Scorpion speakers. The only thing I could find wrong
was the power cord was cut?? I opened it up everything looks O.K.
inside beside the fact it's got a Soild state preamp :13: I got a spare
power cord laying around somewhere? What da ya guy's think???
is it worth it? Do ya think the amp has other issuse's? And if it'works
how do they sound? I don't want to put any time and money into
this thing if it's a turd.

Let it sit around, but take care of it. Never know what parts might come in handy.

kick ASS man!!! You got yourself a full PA system there, with a tube poweramp, if the amp has an fx loop!

Wanna take a road trip to N.Y. ? You can have em' both :laugh2:
I'm think'in Bout' parting them out and selling the parts on ebay.
Even if this thing works and sounds great? I'm pretty much set for
amps. I was think'in of useing it as a ext. cab for my Princeton Cuz'
the 10' speaker in it dosen't always cut it. I pluged Princeton into
one of the Scorpions. Sounded nice and full and crunchy when cranked.
But when I backed off to a cleaner sound all the Fender sweet qwack
was gone( Kinda dark sounding) To be more Exact you play the into
lick from Sweet Home Alabama, It just don't sound right.Plug back
into the 10' kendricks in my Princeton..... sounds perfect?
