FRACTAL Solid State amps??

You guys usually beat me to this, but you dropped the ball on this one .Least ways, i didn't see anything on "search". These solid state/ digital amps .."FRACTAL" are being very highly reviewed...almost "heralded"!

The Axe-Fx has been talked about plenty on here. It's as of right now THE best modeler out. It's above and beyond anything Boss or Line 6 could dare to dream.

It's digital, not piece of state. It's another rack modeller basically. Been out for a while. Way too expensive for most of us on here I'd wager...

No more expensive than your typical quality tube amp. The MSRP isn't the actual price. Knock about $400 off and that's the sale price.

That's still 1,400 dollars. I think the suggested price was around 1,800. No idea what MAP would be.


To me a quality tube amp can be had for under 500 bucks. More than that is a sum of money I can't even think of having and never had...

Nowhere near boutique stuff My main amp is a Laney VC15 (which has to go for money reasons ) and it costs about 500 bucks new I believe? Most likely less. Amazing sounding little baby. I simply cannot afford anything over, and even that was just a one off that won't happen for years.

Those clips don't do it justice. Really something that needs to be heard in person. I'm not saying this is going to replace a tube amp in terms of getting that true "tube" sound but nontheless it sounds great in it's own digital right and I've always hated modelers. Considering the quality of effects you get and the huge pallet of different tones it's a great tool to have.

All axe-fx guitars. The plexi tone that kicks in at 0:53 is just completely awesome through quality speakers.

It's cool, but it really still sounds very compressed/direct to me.

With some proper speaker emulation via impulses, it could be very cool... but for the price, it's just not worth it at all, IMO.
