Fretless Artcore on ebay

I came across a fretless Ibanez Artcore this morning on a quick search. I'd post the link, but it's a pretty ugly and long link. Anyways, has anybody here played a fretless guitar? The only stuff I have here in my collection of cd's is some early 80's King Crimson with Belew and Fripp playing fretless guitar.

My brother had a fretless bass years ago, and that was pretty difficult to play in tune. It was a Wal bass he bought on credit card, (that credit card for emergencies - you know....) and while I couldn't play it in tune, the actual tone from the bass was pretty amazing.

I've been wanting a Godin Glissentar for a while now. It's an 11 stringed fretless instrument using nylon strings to replicate the arabic oud. Being Lebanese myself and having grown up hearing traditional Lebanese and Arabic music, I'm pretty fascinated with the instrument but I can't bring myself to throw down the cash necessary to buy one.

Vigier makes one and there are a few vids of it on youtube.
