From the department of strange and unusual . . .

Re: From the department of strange and unusual . . .

They actually sell these?

I can't imagine how one would feel, there's no "back of the neck", just a cylinder...

Re: From the department of strange and unusual . . .

I don't know if it would sound good but, from the ergonomical point of view, I don't see myself handling such a set of tubes soldered together!.

Ah yes, the old Andy Summers Synchronicity video guitar.
I've always wondered what it really sounded like/felt like to play.

Art guitars are fun.

Fingerboard scalloping taken to its illogical extreme. Gittler produced some other, equally experimental, instruments in various materials.

31 of them in fact! The frets, like the majority of the instrument, are cylindrical. Here we have another classic example of form following function. A cylinder provides the smallest possible contact area for the string. Precisely defined fret spacing is the cornerstone of perfect intonation.

Form following function? More like sacrificing function to make it look "innovative" in order to get exposure from media.

Function is the same as a Les Paul. Form was sacrificed. It looks like a TV antenna.

This guitar is [EDIT: similar to) what I had envisioned when I saw the fret size chart on Warmoth's website.

That's why I went with the 6100's and full scallop. I'm never going back. I can't wait to try this guitar. I know without even trying it yet that it will be the most comfortable thing to play (at least finger/string contact wise) :fing2:
