FS - Analogman Beano - Dallas Rangemaster clone

Brand new, built in October 2008. Includes On/Off/Volume knob so you don't need to disconnect the pedal to keep the battery from draining when on your pedalboard.

It's only had a few hours use. It sounds good with both singles and hums, but it's just not jiving with my P90s and P90s are what I need it to jive with.

Im curious about a few things...

Which tranny does this model have in it??? It should be the newer version with the CV7003, that right??

Also, what isn't jiving wiht the P-90's for you??

CV7003.

It's just not interacting with P90s the way it does with other pickups. When it boosts frequencies it does it in an odd manner... sometimes giving a too clean effect, other times sounding like a cocked wah.

I had one before a few years ago and I remembered it sounding like a really pissed off Tubescreamer, but without the smoothness. It'll do that, just not with the P90s.

Edit: I wound up getting better results from a Fuzz Face and a Tonebender, so I'll be sticking with those.

I think I'm going to keep it.

A few days ago I bumped all my amp's EQ knobs while moving it. I fluked out and the accidental settings sounded really good. Fired the Beano up today just to test it and the pissed off tubescreamer thing I had been looking for was there.

Turns out it was my amp settings that was the problem and not the P90s. Go figure....

I'm having some trouble myself getting it to vibe with my PC neck, tried dinkin around with eq settings but nothing good yet. Same cocked-wah sound.
