Anyone interested in a beautiful Fender '62 reissue body?

I've been told by the guy I got it from that it's either US or Japanese made, 3 piece Alder.

Looking for $250 US shipped anywhere in North America.

Is it a poly or nitro finish?

The Fender Website says the 62 reissue is Nitro. But I don't actually know how to tell the difference by looking at it.

The "60s" classic is listed as Poly. There is a chance it's one of those too.

I know that my 09 MIM Strat has the same kind of bar code label in the control cavity, FWIW.

It looks like the body has a microtilt (hard to see the neckpocket) which most mexicans don't have. Some do though...

That's not a micro-tilt. That a regular route that most modern Fender bodies have.

If you want to know if the body is nitro or poly, take a Q-Tip and put a little nail polish remover on it (or something with acetone in it) and rub a little tiny spot in the trem cavity or some where will it wont be noticable. If the finish comes off after a little rubbing its nitro if nothing happens at all then its a poly finish. The only downside is there will be a little tiny spot of the finish missing somewhere. Thats the only way i know how to check.

i could be wrong but... from my experience only I've never seen an American body with that quarter ($.25) sized circle drilled out under the pickups.

Still a nice body.

Some American bodies have that circular route. It's hard to say what it is without being able to tell if its poly or nitro.

what's the spacing on the trem holes? is it the 2 1/16" Mexi or Vintage 2 7/32"?
