A Beautiful Custom Telecaster FMT in Black Cherry Burst. It's about a year old and in pristine condition. Excellent craftsmanship.

It's been professionally modified with Seymour Duncan P-Rail pickups installed along with a new selector switch and two push/pull pots (the original pots and switch are also included). The P-rail is wired for P90s, single Rail coils, and Humbuckers in either Series or Parallel.

Some of the other features of this guitar include a mahogony body with maple cap and rosewood fretboard. Also has a set neck and a contoured bellycut on the back. It's extremely lightweight and very comfortable to play. A very nice polyfoam case is also included.

$600 shipped in the US. (Add $10 if you use paypal)

I prefer the cash but I might be interested in trades for a Tokai / Edwards Goldtop Les Paul, Epiphone Riviera, or another interesting humbucking guitar.

That finish on your guitar is unbelievable! I can vouch for these Fenders as I have a Blue FMT setup EXACTLY the same with P-Rails. After going through various pickup swaps and changeouts, I settled on the P-Rails since they seem to work perfectly with this guitar.

Currently, I have about 6 guitars and probably would keep just my Telecaster FMT and my Ibanez Hollowbody if I had to sell everything else.

I would be ALL OVER this guitar if I didn't have one already!

Noice!!!!!!

One question: How "telecaster-y" is it when using the rails side of the pickup?

Inquiring minds want to know. :burnout:

If there is one thing I learned about this guitar, it's not to think of it as a telecaster... Instead think of it more as an SG but with a maple cap. The body is mahogony and it's a set neck. you'll get a little twang out of it because of the longer scale length but don't think of it as a traditional tele twang.

Infrared72 - any additional thoughts on this?

Re: FS: Fender Telecaster Custom FMT w/ SD P-Rails

I play a Tele / Strat mutt with a P90 bridge and I get a more Telecasterish tone out of the P90 than I do with a single coil. YYMV, just thought I'd weigh in that P90's are more Tele-tastic than singles to a lot of ears, which, luckily is an option on this thing!

Good luck with the sale!

Guitar is still available.
hey guys, i can vouch for JAMES, he drove 1/2 way to meet me ( about 1 hr ) from chicago, the tele is nice & sounds good thru a micro cube( took it to try out guitar , had sitting it on my tailgate in a parking lot), it could use a small neck ajustment, the only reason i didnt buy it is i have large hands, & the cutout is kind of small for me to get up in the 22nd fret, i still almost bought it, i kept offering james some $$ for gas (i felt bad that he drove an hr to meet me) but he would not take it... any ways it is a nice tele, & a he is a great forum member, again , THANKS JAMES...........roger
