I've found another guitar I want and so something has to go. I like this guitar, but it is one of the newer ones I have and thus I have less attachment to it.
On the block is an LTD KH-602 Kirk Hammet model. It is a 6 string neck though body guitar with stock EMG 81 Bridge and Neck pickups, original Floyd Rose tremolo and Schaller Strap locks. The guitar like I said is "as new" condition save for a couple dings I left when I did the artwork. The frets are 100% new, without any wear. The body wood is alder with a maple neck-thru portion and rosewood board with Hammet-style skull & crossbone inlays. I bought it in July of last year and it came with a couple of small paint chips and was shipped in an ESP bass case. I did the Ouija graphic myself from a kit available on eBay and for authenticity's sake, I added an ESP logo to the headstock. The guitar was made in Korea and it still states so on the back of the HS. This guitar retails at $1199 now and no longer includes the good EMG's, nor an OFR.
The graphic came out very well, with a shiney layer of poly to protect the decal and make the finish as stock appearing as possible. This is NOT, I repeat NOT an attempt to pass off a cheaper guitar as a genuine Ouija; those are going for ungodly cash nowadays and the ESP version coming out is going to cost somebody 9 grand! I simply did this because I admired the original and wanted one, but would not be able to afford it. The KH is a great axe on it own and with the graphic, and a set of .60's tuned to drop C, it's just plain intimidating! I am asking $800 OBO shipped in the CONUS for this guitar and will make available any pics requested. Remember; the case is for a bass and was "modified" (read hacked) to hold the KH securely. I can supply the guitar in an ESP guitar case for additional cost if desired. Thanks for looking and if you don't find this guitar your cup of tea, pass the word around; baby needs a new guitar!!!
