2008 Peavey Rage 258.
Nice little practice amp, it is SS but it has Transtube technlogy and a preamp thing in the back of the amp most SS amps don't have. It doesn't sound as good as a straight tube amp but it also sounds better than any SS I've ever played.
Here's the deal though, the distorton channel has been acting funny. Most of the time it's fine and sounds good and all but occasionally it will sound like it has very little gain, almost clean sounding with a hint of overdrive. It doesn't sound bad but you need a pedal to get it to hard rock levels when it decides to do this...
Other than that it souds good for a little practice amp, it has a switch that can change it from Marshall sounds (stack), to Mesa sounds (modern), to Voxy/Fendery sounds (vintage). This is really useful when you have a pedal in front of it providing the gain. If the pedal has enough gain on tap you can get great sounding tube amps sounds that cover almost everything. This is why I bought it originally.
It also has a headphone jack for late at night jamming.
I was thinking around $40 + shipping but I don't know how much shipping would be. It weighs about 15 pounds. Maybe $20 or so?
