look at the frets? if someone says it hasnt been played much you don't expect the frets to look like that. The tuner and the other damage was probably done during shipping, which you admitted to not packing properlymy biggest complaint is that i dont exactly feel i ripped him off, the tuning peg wasnt bent when i sent it out....if he wouldnt have started blowing up about shiznit i woulda offfered to send him a brand new set of gotah tuners i was going to use on the guitar i'm building. I explained the guitar, played very little it was, i never once got questioned by anyone to take pics of the neck, or to take a microscope and look for picking swirls, i described that it had a few bumps and bruises but none that you'd see without looking for.
I think that you're both pulling a fast one on the other.

i know the packing was probably not as good as it should have been, but upon shipment the box was sturdy and packed so that nothing moved around inside. Last look i took the frets werent to bad, grated i never took the strings off to fully examine them
and yes, i'm realizing that even tho it was not literally, technically it was in my possesion while being transported. and i'm thinking of exactly how to take care of this...i have stated numerous times that i never intended to "rip anyone off"

I reserved judgment till after I saw the pictures. Having seen them - the fretboard was the damning evidence.
No matter how well you packed the guitar it is your responsibility until it arrives (safely) at the destination. If there was a problem (like the bent tuner head) then he comes to you to make things right. You are the one responsible for the damage. Once you have that situation resolved you can decide if you want to take the matter up with the shipping company. That's just the way it goes.
This is not a threat or dare or anything negative, however if you have an ounce of honor, you will allow the guitar to be shipped back to you (he'll have to eat the $35, which I think he'll gladly do) with full tracking and signature delivery. Once you receive the guitar you send a M/O for the original amount (include tracking and signature delivery).
Both parties post the shipping info for all to see.
If you still feel that you don't owe him any money, I would seriously suggest that he take you to small claims court.:soapbox:
I think Fender_punk is DuskloseHere's my left field thought.
One or both of you are trying to scam the SD company. You both keep blaming the other (if you are in fact two different people) and showing "evidence" of what the other did wrong. I'm waiting for someone to try and drag SD Co. into this because it went down on their company sponsored Forum. You know, make SD feel bad and do something to compensate so this board doesn't leave a bitter taste in your mouth about the company.
I really hope I'm wrong.
