He contacted me. Said he was away from the pc due to a family illness. He said he'll ship tomorrow 2-3 day service. I wish you had shipped it when you said so my nephew would have it on his birthday but if you get it to me in 2 to 3 days I'll just give it to him then. OK kid, here's your chance to redeem yourself.

He should overnight it, that's BS. Family illness? If so then I'm sorry to hear that, but I doubt it. Not only that, illness in the family or not people should still keep their obligations or at a minimum communicate the problem. IMO just bailing and leaving the other person in the dark is not cool. This isn't grade school where you can just not show up and come in later with a doctor's note to be excused.

Second, even if that were the case, if I already took someone's money I would indeed take 2 minutes to throw them a quick email saying I have an emergency and will be delayed. I have no problem with that and have even had it happen to me (involving someone on this forum in fact).
The problem isn't a delay due to personal reasons, it's the lack of communication. Communication is simple and goes a long way.

You're right Carrot. It's lack of communication. When communication is great until the check clears it makes me suspicious. I'll let you all know if he comes through on his promise.

Hey Theodie, thanks for the help. It pisses me off most because its a present for a kid. Dusklose wouldn't respond to my emails until I emailed him with his parents phone number saying I was going to call his house all weekend until I talked to him or his parents. After that he emailed me saying he had a sick grandmother. He called a friend and the friend was supposed to ship it for him but for some reason didn't. Then he promised on thursday to ship it.
I've got all the emails to back it up. I'm waiting to hear how his dog ate the guitar. If he really has a sick grandmother I'm sorry and I understand. The trouble is its excuse after excuse. Then he disappears.

Stratomaster, I really feel for you man, that must really blow. Like, even setting aside you being $500 in the hole, I can't imagine how let down you must feel for not being able to have a god guitar ready on time for you nephew. I hope Dusklose gets banned from this forum, charged and that you get your money back. More importantly I hope your nephew understands and takes this as a lesson (as I'm sure you have) that you have to be careful who you can trust.

Thanks guys I apprecite all the support. Fender Punk you're 17 and I can tell you are worlds more mature than this kid. I'm glad theres younger guys out there like you and my nephew Andrew.

Thanks. I'm really new to this forum, but I signed up to learn things and maybe trade around a bit. Guitars being an obsession of mine it seems degrading to act so careless and as you said, immature. I wouldn't give the time of day to a #!@$*&!@#$%^$*@&#*!^&#&&@&*!%@^$^&$!^%$#^%!& that is just going to do something so low. I hope people know that demographics don't necessarily define anything.
