Up for sale is my USACG strat neck.

Here are the specs:

  • 2-piece maple neck with maple fretboard, truss rod adjust at headstock. Fretboard has some nice light birdseye figuring.
  • Stainless steel vintage frets (6230's)
  • 10" radius, 22 frets, professionally installed bone nut
  • Some slight cigarette burns on the headstock (pics to follow), but nothing that can't be removed w/ a little light sanding.

Tuners & string tree not included. Perfect for a frankenstrat type project.

Pics to follow...

Would normally sell for $253 not including the bone nut installation which cost me another $75. Asking $200 shipped in the Continental US/lower 48.

Yeah, it's a beast! The SS frets make it a dream to bend, and the vintage size means you still get to feel alot of fretboard too.

It's finished in 2 light coats of Deft Lacquer Sanding Sealer, so it feels like bare wood.

Re: FS: USACG stratocaster neck

I believe it's a C shape. I'll check my paperwork from USACG when I get home tonight to verify neck shape/contour. It's a really comfy neck.

Re: FS: USACG stratocaster neck

so not really fat

Its not a fat neck at all, but it's not "wizard" thin either.

I loved the idea of feeling the fretboard and letting it wear in nicely (like Eddie's necks on his old frankenstrats), but it can do it safely since the sanding sealer has sealed the wood. I had talked to Tommy Rosamond at USACG when I was choosing fretwire, etc. for this one and he mentioned the "sanding sealer only" for a protected, yet "raw wood" feel.

Re: FS: USACG stratocaster neck

Just an update on the specs-- I checked the USACG order summary and it is indeed a C neck shape, .83.

thanks!

Re: FS: USACG stratocaster neck

.83 C would make it close to their '63.

not sure, but it looks like a 2 piece neck, flat sawn with a bird's eye cap

nice neck
