Allright, Its time for me to sell this axe. So here we are, first up is the neck:

Sorry that the second pic is a bit washed-out, my camera was stolen a while back and I'm having to get used to my dad's camera.

This one is Warmoth Construction, Maple/Ebony, '59 roundback profile, stainless steel SS6105 frets, satin finish, 1 11/16ths nut width, graphtech trem nut, roller string T, and a scalloped fretboard. the headstock is drilled for schaller tuners.

A brand new neck from warmoth like this will run you about $400 plus shipping. This one is in like-new condition, no fretwear, and I had a local fender/gibson authorized luthier do a fret leveling job a while back. This is a bolt on, tune up, and rock out, ready to go neck. Better than brand new.

I'll sell it for $230 shipped.

I've also got a set of schaller locking tuners for sale. Great conditon, chrome, 6 in line, I'll sell em for $45 shipped.

That'll be all for right now.

MAN....that's a good looking piece of wood !!!

Is it raw or is there anything on it?

Re: FS: Warmoth Tele neck, Body, Parts

Its got a tung oil finish on it at the moment, i finished it off with some orange oil/beeswax mixture. It looks even nicer in person ;).

Re: FS: Warmoth Tele neck, Body, Parts

What pickups did you have in this when it was built?

How do one's technique have to change in order to play a scalloped neck?

I had a set of Duncan Full Shreds in there...one might think that that setup would be a bit bright, but that was not the case. It was pretty rockin. I'm keepin those pickups to put in my singlecut.

As for the scalloped neck, it takes a slightly lighter touch than on a "normal" neck. It feels a little weird for the first few minutes, but after that you'd be surprised how much easier bending is. Especially with the SS frets, its like skating on ice.

Bump for ya...Can you post a pic of when this was built?

Is the finish splotchy (not talking about the grain) or is that just the photos?

Here's the pics from when I had it together:

Though I'm not quite sure I see the "splotchy-ness" you see in the pics...Its just a simple oil finish really. 100% pure tung oil from "The Real Milk Paint Co." Here's a link:

I figured, a beautiful piece of wood like this, one-piece black limba no less, it'd be better to do as light a finish as possible as to not hinder the body's natural resonance.

All I know is that it sounded great with those full shreds in there.

Re: FS: Warmoth Tele neck, Body, Parts

Those are the pics I remember. On my monitor I see some yellow splotching in the cutaway and around the string insert holes on the first pics. They don't show on the whole guitar pics.

Is this neck heavy at all? I had a Schecter PT Blackjack that tend to dip at the neck when worn with a strap.

How was that small switch wired? (Looks like that has been changed.)

To tell the truth I never really got around to wiring it. I was planning on doing a series/split/parallel thing on the neck pickup, but as of right now that switch has never been soldered.

Wasn't neck heavy either back when I had it together, never had to deal with neck-dives.

How much for the pool?

Find me Carmen Sandiego. Then we'll talk

Re: FS: Warmoth Tele neck, Body, Parts

How do you get Warmoth to rout for a hipshot hardtail? Im trying to order a body from them routed for a hipshot hardtail, but it's not in their bridge options. Or, did you do it yourself?

Re: FS: Warmoth Tele neck, Body, Parts

All you gotta do is ask Warmoth to drill for a "narrow-spaced strat" bridge. Then you shouldn't have a problem.

Re: FS: Warmoth Tele neck, Body, Parts

I caved. I really don't wanna sell the body...right now I'm not in serious need of the money either, so I'm gonna pack it away for some time. I'll watch ebay for the next few months or so, see if I can't find a nice neck for it. No rush, no hurry.

The neck's still for sale though.

Re: FS: Warmoth Tele neck, Body, Parts

Did you put a trembucker for the bridge? I don't know if you know, but do you need a trembucker for the neck too if the nut width is 1-3/4?

Dunno bout that, never had a neck with that nut width before. I did have a full shred trembucker in the bridge though.
