That's such a great setup, it's slinky enough on top and just snappy enough on bottom, although I go with 10.5-52 since I order bulk-singles anyways. (10.5,14,20w,30,40,52)

I have my Les Paul in D standard with 10-52, nice for little slur bends. I wish I’d bought a Hello Kitty Strat years ago when I saw one on clearance. Was the penguin one just bass? Or guitar too?

The Badtz Maru one is bass only. longcat has one tricked out with a Hipshot Kickass bridge, Ultralite tuners, and a Cool Rails bridge pickup. Strung with LaBella flats it sounds like James Jamerson.

If the Super Distortion were Captain America, the X2N would be the Hulk.
The only other pickups in the same category would be the Invader, the Slug, the El Diablo and maybe the Alt 8.
Or a custom shop Slug with A9 mags.

Yeah - the SuperDistortion is Clark Kent compared to an X2N.
And while I have said this a ton - wire it for Series/Parellel/Split of you can. SUPER-flexible with all kinds of coolness (or hotness) if you do that.

So I'm playing for a while this evening, tuning up, etc.
I realize after about 20 minutes, I was playing on the crunch channel instead of the Uber-gain channel! God I love pure unadulterated power!!!!!!
This is one bad bad pussy. And those strings, with this pickup, hitting the D - evil incarnate.
