Just ordered the fender full moon distortion, sounds pretty good in the demo, has anyone had experience with one? If I like it I'm probably going to replace my packrat with it.
I just watched the fender videos. I received the pedal yesterday and I'm very satisfied with it so far. It's got the standard level and gain controls and a 3 band EQ with a high treb pot that controls the amount of sizzle with distortion or shine when clean. There's also the built in boost which I believe is 12db and has it's own foot switch to activate it. There is also 2 toggles, the texture switch switches between symmetrical and asymmetrical clipping which is very useful. I'm not sure which is which but it has more saturation when the switch is flipped up. There is also a bite switch that adds gain to the higher frequencies and kind of smooths out the bass- unimpressive but someone might find it useful. And it's a pretty cool blue enclosure that seems very durable. I think I'm going to replace my packrat with this. I only have the gain at about 11 o'clock and that's good for my punk rock stuff... It can get very dirty though. All in all a very good dirt pedal. I'm thoroughly impressed.
It was a cool video, I don't play metal so it works great for me, and it's ultra quiet. I wouldn't expect a fender pedal to be the best metal pedal anyways...
I saw a Fender video with a young woman playing some cool non-metal stuff, but I couldnt find it later when I wanted to post it. I really like seeing multiple demo videos from different styles of players; it gives you a better idea of what the pedal is like.
