Fulldrive 2 vs. DP-1

Hey guys,

I was just reading about the Fulltone DP-1 and I was wondering if anyone has experience with this thing. Does the DP-1 cover the bases the Fulldrive 2 covers, or is it a totally seperate beast? I'm intrigued by the flexibility of the DP-1 and if it could cover the Fulldrive tones as well, I'd probablt sell my Fulldrive and get the DP-1. Whaddaya think?

I own the Full Drive 2 and the Fat Boost, and the DP is next on my list, actually!

It's a totally different animal. It never really gets to the mild overdrive part of the FD2, and the FD2 has a much more saturated sound.

The Distortion Pro doesn't do fuzz, either. Just screaming distortion!!

It's a wonderful pedal, the best distortion available. I have a high gain amp, and just need the overdrive, but I would like to have the DP-1 to add to my rig.

... and as a side note, the Tube Tape Echo ROCKS!!!!!

Is the Tube Tape Echo available yet? Expensive, but awesome!
I can't wait to try one.

Before going to a DP-1, buy a Banzai Fireball.
It's like a beefier, chunkier, highgain version of a FDII.
It also is laid out the same, but has internal dipswitches, so
you can tailor the gain further than just the top knobs.
Looks cool, too. banzaieffects.com $200, same as FDII.

Its a great box. Very flexible. I don't have one yet, but it is certainly on the list.
