Fulltone's newest.....GT-500

Up until now, the prototype was called the GT-350, but has recently been changed. They even changed the enclosure, from the prototype version.
It's now called the GT-500, and I'm excited to hear this pedal. It comes out in a few weeks.

Dat does tend to get the mouth watering... Can't wait to hear one myself.

Shheeeeeit, cuz!

I gotta try one out, thought it would take a LOT for me to get me to dump my OCD.

Re: Fulltone's newest.....GT-500

It looks like Mike Fuller took his time perfecting this one. He's got a new design of using an inductor to control the mids, which might make it sound more natural. Plus, you can choose which side goes first...the Dist or boost, and also use each side independently. It looks like a real Swiss Army Distortion unit.
It might be the perfect pedal for someone with a single channel amp, looking to make it like a 3 channel amp.

Man, I've been all over this since Jan 1st. Waiting to find out the release date, since it said Jan 2007.

I did notice the enclosure change, which I think is a good idea with the smaller EQ pots so close to the stomping area.

I will definately be one of the first to buy one when it comes out.

Like a big bad Hiwatt? Mmmmmmm

You know, I like Fulltone Pedals. I have a FDII 10th Aniv. but I have no desire to try this new one. I'm sure it wiil do well though.

I hear ya. I certainly don't need it, but I've always been a fan of Fulltone pedals, so I'll probably get one. Buy first...ask question later! :laugh2:
I'm not digging into my pocket though....I'll sell another pedal and a pickup to fund it. I want to see what kind gain I can get out of my Matchless and Gibson Goldtone with this GT-500. And the good thing about Fulltone is that you can always resell them easily without losing much.

The Distortion Pro was sort of a disapointment, so I'm sure Mike made this one good enough to stomp all over the Distortion Pro. It's probably more focused sounding than the OCD.

Re: Fulltone's newest.....GT-500

From my last email with Mike Fuller he said around the middle of Feb the pedal will be ready.....hopefully it will! Looking forward to checking it out my self!
