Fuzz guitar though Orange Bass Amp?

EDIT: after jamming though this amp it sounds good, it sounds full, it sounds nice with the tweak fuzz or an overdrive pedal. I'll be doing some recording shortly.

I have the opportunity to pick up an Orange Bass amp (Crush CR50BXT) 12" combo cheap tomorrow.



I play strat single coils with a SD pickup booster and SD Tweak Fuzz both basically dimed... Is that something I could play though this bass amp? Obviously I'm not looking for any pretty clean sound, I'm not in the slightest concerned with clean tone at all, just some punk rock...

I say go for it. I think a lot of stoner rock bands would agree with me.

That's basically how I feel about it too, just still somewhat on the fence. Any other input?

Might work for punk but usually the voicing just leaves alot off the table for guitar. I would try it before I bought it. There is a good chance the distortion tone is a flubby and murky

I used to play through a Marshall MKII Superbass with a distortion pedal in front of it. It was a great guitar amp though its tone profile is probably much different than the Orange. I bet it would sound cool for stoner/punk rhythm guitar.

The old super bass's were the same as the super leads only they lacked the extra brightness cap on the first channel. Not really the same thing as a solid state bass combo. Hell it would be stranger if you actually used it for bass than for guitar.

Yeah in fact my bass player has it now. It actually sounds pretty great when dialed in right but you are right, it's almost as much a guitar amp as anything else.
