Fuzz pedal Billy Gibbons

Hey,

Can anyone recommend a fuzz pedal that will get into the Billy Gibbons ball park?

It'd be great if there's one out there that can do from 'Brown Sugar', 'Just Got Paid' through to 'She's Just Killing Me', 'Gotsta Get Paid'

Or even recommend fuzz pedals that would do a particular era of his tone.

Got the crank Marshall Les Paul fitted with PAF repros and the Telecaster could do with a good fuzz now.

(Obviously I don't have Billy Gibbons hands so that element will always be lacking.)

Re: Fuzz pedal Billy Gibbons

Billy daisy chains a lot of stuff to get his tone. I am pretty sure one of those things is a Rangemaster Boost and I know he uses a Marshall JMP1. The closest I have come to the tone was using my BBE Freq Boost (Rangemaster Clone) with my TWA Triskelion Boost. I actually stumbled upon it. Here I found the rig rundown I watch a while back at least I think this is the one.

There were some solasound demos on YouTube that got really close to that Just Got Paid sound.

Cranked tweed amp...so maybe the Wampler "Tweed '57" or the Marshall based "Plexi-Drive" or "Plextortion"?

I know that my R9 Historic LP through the Mark V's 10-watt setting of the CLEAN channel's TWEED mode just NAILS that early Billy Gibbons tone.

Wasn't he supposed to daisy chain 6 Expandoras together?

I'd say that it's impossible to really, really know what BFG uses. He's one of the most mysterious players in that sense.

I am in the middle of my review of the MOOG MF Drive and damned if I didn't stumble on the perfect Billy Gibbons tone. I put on La Grange and tweaked it a bit and I have to say it is freaking spot on.
