FYI, the Verbzillas are $109 at MF and AMS, maybe others

With all the talk lately about the Verbzilla, I just wanted to let you guys know they are giving a $40 instant rebate on these as well as the Echo Park. Might be a good time to nab one. I just did.

There is a guy on ebat selling them for 109 with a power supply, but as a CA resident I would have had to pay tax. Plus I have a power supply I'm not using.

You won't regret it, G. When you get it, c'mon down for a play date.:D

Re: FYI, the Verbzillas are $109 at MF and AMS, maybe others

Damn, thats about the price I paid for a used one a while back. Great pedals they are.

Re: FYI, the Verbzillas are $109 at MF and AMS, maybe others

No way man, I will remain digital-free as much as possible.

Re: FYI, the Verbzillas are $109 at MF and AMS, maybe others

Just got mine in last night. dang this thing sounds good!!!

I particularly like the hall and I can see how the Octo will be of use.

Re: FYI, the Verbzillas are $109 at MF and AMS, maybe others

I got mine last night too. :)

Did you get yours from the eBay seller? Brand new w/ Line 6 adapter.

Yeah, the Octo setting's pretty cool. I find that I can get a better range of subtle to thick with this pedal than with my DigiTech DigiVerb. The pedal does add a little noise to the signal when not playing, but that doesn't matter since I'd turn it off when not playing anyway.

no, direct from MF. I already have an adapter.

I just checked UPS tracking and mine is on the truck right now for delivery today.

I also have an Eminence Cannabis Rex on the way. I'm looking for some smoothness over the Vintage 30.

You won't be disappointed.

Now we need a "Verbzilla Room."

:D

Re: FYI, the Verbzillas are $109 at MF and AMS, maybe others

The Verbzilla is the absolute best reverb pedal I have ever owned...I like it better than the Fender tube driven stand alone reverb unit. I also have a Line 6 DL4 for digital delay. Very warm tone from both...these are digital units for guys like me who don't generally go for digital sound.

Re: FYI, the Verbzillas are $109 at MF and AMS, maybe others

I have the DL4 as well and love it. I just got the Verbzilla, so I have yet to try them together.

Hey, perhaps we could share our favorite pedal settings with each other. I always like when people do that.

I use my Verbzilla with two 50's tweed Fender Deluxes. I've been plugging into the DL4 and then plugging that into the Verbzilla and using the left and right outputs of the Verbzilla to drive both amps. I tried it the opposite way for a few days, trying to get into the stereo delay ping/pong sounds. But went back to plugging my guitar into the DL4 after a few days...the reverb sounded better that way. Lew

You should be able to ping-pong regardless of pedal order.

yeah, it's sounds so trippy in stereo. Me likey a lot!!!

Mine arrived a couple of hours ago but my son works nights and just happened to go for a nap before I could try it out.

Which type of reverb do you guys suggest for that huge early VH type sound?

Probably Hall. Of course, you need to pan it to one side. :)

Re: FYI, the Verbzillas are $109 at MF and AMS, maybe others

I use the '63 Spring setting. I plugged the Verbzilla into my blackface Deluxe Reverb and adjusted the Verbzilla to sound as close as possible to the spring reverb in my DR. It's gets darned close! So close that I don't worry about it...I just play. Something I could never do with my Boss RV-3...I liked it, but always was aware that something was less than completely satisfying. I don't feel that way about the Verbzilla...it really is THAT good.
