FYI, the Verbzillas are $109 at MF and AMS, maybe others

I believe he has done so before.

I used the 63verb for awhile, but switched to Hall.

Wow, this thing is FUN! Had a chance to mess around with it earlier and like what I'm hearing. First I played around with the three sample settings in the manual (which sound great) then just left it on hall for the remainder of my playing time.

I really like the addded dimension that reverb brings and I may just leave it on all the time. Seems most recordings have reverb added, subtle or not, so it's an effect that just sounds right.

I like the Hall setting too. But the '63 Verb setting sounds a bit more like Fender reverb...which is all I'm after. The setting of the control that sets how quickly the reverb comes on after the original signal is heard is crucial. That's the one I found myself spending alot of time tweaking when I was trying to duplicate the spring reverb in my Fender DR. Lew

I'm really tempted to get this thing and take the reverb tank out of my C30. Do these things sound as good as a real spring reverb?

Re: FYI, the Verbzillas are $109 at MF and AMS, maybe others

Sorry to rehash the thread, but there are only a couple of days left to get the pedal for $109 and I had to chime in on this thread.

I've been GAS'in for reverb on my BF Bandmaster...so much that I was thinking about selling it to buy a reissue amp with reverb (like a BF Super or Deluxe). I really didn't want to do that because I love the 'basic' tone of the Bandmaster. So, as kind of a last ditch effort, I picked up a Verbzilla tonight. It is the BEST reverb short of a tank I've ever used. It's so good, I almost can't believe it. I know I'm just getting started with it, but I'm telling you, when I close my eyes and play I can't tell it's not onboard spring...it even feels like the real deal. If you're looking for a reverb, this one is simply great and IMO is worth the price just for the '63 spring setting.

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, it's a sweet 'verb alright. I've been using mine for a bit with my Celtic, and it's just what I wanted. Very happy to own one of these guys.

I have mine on all the time. Definitely a keeper. I mostly go back and forth between hall and '63. I'd sure like Lew to give us his settings.....................
