Christmas brought me a TSL 601 and a Shure SM57 along with Proel cables. Earlier i received a Twin Tube classic, which lately Im really starting to like. Other than that, nothing big. A cable here and there, maybe a mic stand.

Geez not as much gear as you guys. But in 2008 I picked up a few pedals. MXR EVH Flanger, Carbon Copy and 6-band EQ. Then I got an early 80's Boss BF-2 MIJ but my most notable purchases were 2 guitars. First I got an '86 Kramer Focus 1000 in early April (EMG was installed by me later on)

and then in November I became an owner of an '83 Kramer Pacer Special to which I installed a Duncan '78 model pickup.

It even has a Maple board!!!

Seriously, the only thing more perfect (for me) than an 83 Pacer Special would be an 82 Pacer Carrera...

Sweet!!! LOVE Kramers!! This look mint!! How is the 78? I took the stock JB out of my Baretta and put in a Rio BBQ.. Sounds HUGE!! I debated tho.. My Pacer sounds huge with the stock JB, so I figured it go for a more soulful/finesse sound with my Retta. So last night, I wired in a Genesis MR Browney. Its good, I just have to get used to it. I also bought a 59 to go in it too.. I'll prob try that soon..

It is by far THE best amp I've ever tried ANYWHERE in its' price league (i.e. only bested by actual boutique amps like Solteros, Bad Cats and VHTs).

And I bought it for almost thrice what they cost at the US!

The '78 is great, I'm not great at describing things like this cause its all stored in my head. Anyways a friend of mine played the Pacer who's a guitar tech and we both agreed that it's got some serious balls yet has incredible clarity, never gets muddy. Really a great pickup, and I wouldn't say its for VH only. I guess thats the best and simplest way I can describe it.

:laugh2: sorry man I didn't mean it like that. I am very very fortunate to have scored those 2. Never thought I'd get a chance to own a real one. Just keep your eyes open they pop up all the time on Craigslist and Ebay and for some odd reason Seattle right now seems to be a hot spot for them now on CL not sure why. The B-plate '83 Pacer Special with a maple board has been on my mind for a long time...and being a Gilmour fan also I kinda got 2 things in one and now have my black 'strat-shaped' guitar.

Hmm, well I built my dragon Kramer from spare parts, there's the wallpaper not really a tele that I aquired, bought a couple of bases second hand from the bay (Aria four string thing and a five string Warwick rock bass).
So I've not really gone into a shop and gone 'yep, I want one of those' and bought it.
Sigh.

I do love my Kramer mind

Sweet!! Kramers.. Man, they just rock. If I could afford to collect, Id have a collection of Kramers.. To me, they just simply define 80s rock and they werent just trendy.. The good ones, play like a million bucks, they sound good and they can feel magical..
Sorry to sound like such a fanboy, but... Mine play like champs, and they sustain great too.. Always heard horror stories about sustain loss due to floyds, mine go as good as some set necks Ive played. Im gonna try one of those big blocks one of these days...
I am cutting down on my guitars and have considered selling the Focus, but I just cant bringmyself to letting it go, unless the price is very right..I just love em!!

Can't say mine plays that well (dodgy striker neck, assembled and set up by an idiot, that is me) sound and sustain are really good for a trem equipped guitar.
I'd quite happily get another mind, possibly in black so I can wang a white dragon on that one and have a black and white pair

I think all I got was one of the Strabro-90s and a pair of Lollar P-90s, and those were both in the last 3 weeks.
