G&L Buckshot?

Want a new overdrive; something transparent that doesn't necessarily do high gain/distortion, and preferred not too Tube Screamer-esque. I have in mind a girthy, smooth pedal.

Haven't heard much about the Buckshot but I wonder about it, and have found one for a not bad price. Anyone have experience with it? Anything else come to mind?

EHX Soul Food. Based on the Klon which was the first and probably greatest of all the transparent overdrives (not saying I buy into the $1800 Klon price tag hype, but it's a pretty damn good pedal).

I am not familiar with the G&L, but I have the Soul Food and it is a great pedal. I have been using it with my Tube Screamer as wellbut on its own it is great.
