Do these units have lag time when you change preset or turn on/off one effect within a current preset via MIDI controller?

As quick or quicker than any other midi device I have used. I have many midi devices including the G major

I never had a problem with lag during patch changes, and I really miss my old Major.

I have a G-Major. I've never experienced any lag time, and I use a cheapie RFX MidiBuddy for switching.

If you're using a lot of midi devices, the midi signal can get degraded unless you have some kind of signal buffer/booster. Put the G-Major early in the midi stream, or make sure the processor in front of it sends the signal from its midi THROUGH port, not its midi OUT port.
