Gain Fatigue - anyone have/notice this?

Re: Gain Fatigue - anyone have/notice this?

I find I tend to do it when I'm messing around with my desktop modeller. I guess it's making up for the lower volume/less dynamics that I get from it. Once I go back to my usual setup then I dial it back as it gets uncomfortable for me to listen to too much gain. Although, due to the stuff we're currently rehearsing I have a BMF Aries Big Muff clone set fairly gainy to give me a 'keyboard' sustain tone for the 80's synthy stuff! :)

Fuzz for 80's synth! Been there done that. In the 80's! My brother. :)

Did what I think was a wicked cool Hammond B3 at the User Group Day jam on Green Onions. Used a neck Pearly Gates, tone all the way down on 0, and finger plucked some 4ths. That song was bad@$$ - too bad no one got a recording of it.

I tend to tweak, then once I understand the parameters I want more parameters and variables, which is why I modded my Proco RatII ;)

I am stopping this at any cost as it is counterproductive to my musicianship; and trying to limit the parameters though by avoiding buying additional software and gear
