Gang of 8 - Reverbs

The only reverb pedal I use is a Strymon Flint, which is part of my writing setup for cleaner tones. Reverb in my live rig comes courtesy of a TC G-Major 2, which is augmented by a Lexicon MPX-1 in the studio.

I believe in Plate Reverb Almighty, maker of vibrations and reverberations,

It was conceived by the Wilhelm Franz, and born of Elektromesstechnik.

Plate Reveb suffered under the 1980s and was crucified, died, and was buried. Giant EMT 140s descended into storage.

On the sixth decade it rose again from the dead, ascended onto Strymons workbench, and sits at the right hand of an EMT250 and the Boss DD3;

from thence Ace will come to judge the pedal boards of the McTemple rockers.

I believe in the Big Sky, the holy EL Capistan, the communion of harmonic trem and reverb together in the Flint, the forgiveness of sheeniness of the DD7, the resurrection of the Yamaha Rev7, and the Carbon Copies everlasting.

Amen.

As someone who grew up in churches, that was freaking hilarious. I want that on a shirt, or coffee mug.

Only one of these could be loosely called a pedal, but my two favorite reverbs are the Yamaha MagicStomp and the Yamaha FX-500. Both set to "plate" reverb. But I hardly use either because the Line 6 reverb built in to my Bogner Alchemist, (also set to plate), works equally as well.

My recollection of the FX500 was it was the most fun parts of a Yamaha SPX90 in a 1RU 1/2 width rack unit.

Super cool.

EHX Turnip Greens in my main pedalboard. It's a combo of Holy Grail Max and Soul Food. I don't usually use big sounding verb, but I can get infinity by setting time of the plate mode to the max.

And Malekko Omicron Spring Reverb in my mini pedalboard. Great little pedal!
