I unfortunately never got to see Gary play. Always was amazed at his ability to play slowly and soulfully one moment and then just rip the next. And his fast playing was always accurate as humanly possible and generally really fit into the overall song.
I did get a chance to see Roy play in the mid 80's (he died in 1988). Was amazing (from what I recall - it was a long time ago).

Was interesting seeing Gary do the volume swell section - a technique Roy was famous for.

I watched the video several times, keep hearing cool stuff. Love the outro bend(s).

Gary Moore is FANTASTIC. Anyone who disagrees will be punted in the nuts by a midget on steel stilts.

It was worth it!!! Haven't seen it before. Still smiling ear to ear. Makes me even more dissapointed I never saw Gary. I have seen BB several times and that was as good as I've seen him play.

Gary Moore is one of my biggest influences. His sense of melody is amazing.
BTW that is the infamous "Greeeny" the 1960 Les Paul Standard that Peter Green gave to Moore in that first clip.

Awesome factoid! I noticed the neck pickup had the polepieces reversed... Did he use it on Blues for Greeny CD?( Im guessing yes, ... or, duh...) Gary really just... owns it! Note & tonewise.

Sometimes Les IS Moore... (:barf: sorry!)
