Re: Gary moore loner poll
That's cool man, thanks...Gary's 'personality' has shot him in the foot countless times.
I have been as mad at him as any artist I follow, including Malmsteen, for Gary's stubbornness has been his continued downfall.
Recently I interviewed Neil Carter, for an as yet unpublished interview, concentrating on Gary's rock era, primarily the years 1986-89 and Neil has great memories of those days, particularly the WF tour and the video, which must be among the greatest rock concerts ever.
Gary on stumbled into the blues thing as an experiment and never in the SGTB's days considered himself a blues artist.
He always puts his rock spin on it and that supercharges it for me.
He still remains amongst the best players worldwide still out there.

You are correct- that was a bit strong, I apologize.
And yes I'm opinionated, but def NOT a hater. I have my issues with Gary because he's always passing the buck on his commercial failures and troubles- he needs to take a good look in the mirror. I have little repsect for Gary Moore the person in recent years, But Gary the guitar player- the person he used to be- is an absolute monster on the fretboard and certainly one of my top 3 guitar playing influences.
